HBM builds business by empowering the people who work within our group of industry-leading companies. We strive to unlock our people’s potential to achieve great things, benefiting not only our team members but also our shareholders and the communities we serve. One way we do this is through the sharing of best practices and ongoing investments in people.
Recently, we had the privilege of bringing together our enterprise-wide HR teams from HBM, MLC, Schafer Industries, HarperLove, and Control Devices for a dynamic two-day summit in the music city of Nashville, Tennessee. This gathering was focused on sharing best practices around people, professional development, and a dose of fun.
The summit kicked off with opening remarks from Andy Fincher, HBM’s President & CEO and Amy Fields, SVP & Chief People Officer, emphasizing the fundamental role of HR as a strategic partner to drive growth and establish culture. These remarks set the stage for discussions centered around empowering HR professionals as leaders and as critical business partners.
Throughout the event, we explored the latest trends in Employment Law, Total Rewards, Talent, and Emerging Technologies with an emphasis on AI. We also shared best practices within our HR community and how our practitioners deploy talent tools across our diverse portfolio. Guest speakers and industry experts on AI in HR and Employment Law enriched our discussions, providing invaluable insights as we face a rapidly changing landscape of business.
But it wasn’t all business. Our event also featured engaging team-building activities and social time, fostering a sense of community among attendees. From exploring Nashville’s renowned music scene to indulging in the art of chocolate-making at the Goo Goo Cluster Factory, we celebrated our collective achievements and set our sights on future collaborations.
We appreciate our talented HR professionals for all they do to empower people and build business across our portfolio every day. The dedication of this group is the driving force behind our collective success as people leaders and as business partners.
