HBM is thrilled to promote Jim Norris to the role of President & CEO of Control Devices effective this October. Jim replaces Scott Kerns, who recently left the organization to accept a position with another organization.
Jim is a veteran of the Control Devices business, first joining in 1996 in a commercial role and expanding into product development. Jim took a pause from Control Devices for a few years to pursue an entrepreneurial venture before returning as VP Sales & Marketing in 2008, where he has since led the commercial growth and expansion of the business. Jim is a graduate of Iowa State University. He lives in St. Louis with his wife and has two grown daughters.
Dan Lammers, another 20+ year veteran of the business, will also take on an expanded role as SVP of Engineering and Operations as part of this organizational transition, reporting to Jim.
HBM acquired Control Devices in 2021 and has continued to build and grow around it during our period of ownership. Jim, along with the Control Devices leadership team, will guide the company during the next phase of the company’s growth.
